Barbecued Turkey Drumsticks
Recipe from Rosauers Aisle one 1979 booklet
1 can (8oz) tomato sauce
¼ cup molasses
¼ cup lemon juice
1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
¼ tsp Tabasco
1 TBSP chopped chives
1 tsp marjoram leave
1 tsp poultry seasoning
¼ tsp salt
6 Turkey drumsticks
Salt and pepper
Butter
Combine tomato sauce, molasses, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce,
Tabasco, chives, marjoram, poultry seasoning and salt. Refrigerate overnight to
blend flavors. Put each turkey leg on a piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil. Sprinkle
with salt and pepper and dot with butter. Wrap securely sealing top and ends.
Set packages on grill 4 to 6 inches from heat; grill about 2 hours or until fork
tender, turning occasionally. Remove the foil and brush drumsticks with sauce. Grill
for about 20 minutes longer, turning frequently and brushing with sauce. Serves
6.
