Blueberry Drop Biscuits
Recipe from BHG Hometown cooking booklet
2 Cups of flour
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 TBPS baking powder
½ tsp Salt
1/3 Cup shortening
1 Cup of milk
1 Cup fresh blueberries
2 tsp coarse sugar or granulated sugar
In Large bowl. Stir together flour, the 1/3 granulated sugar,
baking powder, and salt. Using a pastry blender (or fork), cut in shortening
until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Make a well in center. Add milk stir
just until combined. Gently fold in berries. Drop by spoonful onto a greased
baking sheet. Sprinkle with 2 tsp of sugar. Bake in a 425-degree oven for 15 to
17 minutes or until light brown. Makes about 12
