Strawberry Dumplings

Recipe from 500 Recipes by request

2 Cups sifted flour

4 teaspoons baking powder

½ tsp salt

2 TBSP butter

1 Cup Milk

8 Large Strawberries

Combine all the ingredients, except the strawberries, in the order given to make a soft biscuit dough. Roll out ¼ inch thick and cut with a biscuit cutter. Place a strawberry in the center of each biscuit and fold the dough in dumpling fashion, sealing well. Steam for 20 minutes and serve at once with Strawberry Sauce. Serves eight.
