More Appetizer fun

 You want more Appetizers? Well I have two more vintage recipes for you today. 
These recipes have a little more punch for the the bit. these can be made fairly easy and your guests will like them. So with out further ado here are the vintage recipes for fun appetizers. 


The first Appetizer recipe will come from 

Betty Crocker's New picture cook book from 1964

Bambinos

1 6oz can tomato paste

1 tsp garlic salt

1/4 tsp oregano

1/4 pound mozzarella cheese or cheddar cheese

1/8 pound salami or pepperoni 

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Combine tomato paste, garlic salt, and oregano. Cut cheese and salami into tiny cubes. Spoon small amounts of tomato mixture on cracker rounds. Top with cheese and meat cubes. Sprinkle with oregano bake 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese melts. serve hot. 


The Next recipe is a requested recipe for spicy meatball appetizer. 

The Wonderful World of Welch's 1968

Appetizers with Spicy Grape Dip

1/2 pound ground beef 

Salt and pepper

Shortening

1/2 pound Cocktail franks

1 1/2 cups concord grape preserves

1 TBSP cinnamon red hots

2 TBSP lemon juice

2 TBSP ketchup

Season ground beef with the salt and pepper and shape into 1 inch balls. In a skillet, fry in shortening until golden brown on all sides. Fry franks until lightly browned. Keep meatballs and franks hot. Combine remaining ingredients and simmer until candies are melted. dip meatballs and franks into hot dip. Serve at once. Serves 6
