Down Home Tuna Casserole
8 oz noodles
2 TBSP butter
1 C celery, chopped
¼ Cup onion, chopped
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 TBSP flour
¾ Cup milk
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp thyme
1 can tuna drained, flaked
1 stack of round buttery crackers, crushed
¼ Cup Parmesan Cheese grated.
Cook noodles according to package, drain and place into
casserole dish. In saucepan melt butter and cook the celery and onion until
tender. Add noodles. In a separate bowl, blend the soup, flour, milk, pepper,
and thyme. Blend well and add the tuna. Combine with the noodles and mix well.
Combine the cracker crumbs with the parmesan cheese and sprinkle over the top.
Bake at 350-degrees for 25 minutes or until bubbly.
