Country short Ribs
Recipe from Pillsbury Family Favorite recipes booklet
3 ½ to 4 pounds beef short ribs
10 ½ oz can condensed beef broth
½ cup dry red wine
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
¼ tsp marjoram leaves
¼ tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp pepper
2 TBSP flour
3 TBSP cold water
Heat oven to 325-degrees. Place short ribs in 13x9 baking
pan. In a small bowl, combine beef broth, red wine, Worcestershire sauce,
marjoram, garlic powder, and pepper. Pout over meat in pan; cover. Bake at
325-degrees for 2 to 2 ½ hours or until meat is tender.
Prepare gravy, place ribs on platter; cover loosely to keep
warm. In a small jar with lid, add flour to cold water shake well. In medium
saucepan on med high heat, bring pan drippings to a boil. Gradually add the
flour mixture, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Serve
gravy with meat. 6 servings.
